We are excited to announce that our students will soon have the opportunity to participate in a fun and educational experience—West Virginia’s Mock Election! This event is designed to teach students about the voting process, how elections work, and the value of making informed decisions.
For this mock election, students will get to vote for the best animal in West Virginia. The four animal candidates are:
• Brady the Black Bear
• Whiskers the White-Tailed Deer
• Carla the Cardinal
• Sandy the Salamander
Each class will discuss the characteristics of these candidates and learn more about why elections matter. This is a fantastic way to engage students in civic responsibility and introduce them to the democratic process in a fun and age-appropriate way.
The mock election will be held next week, and we encourage you to ask your child which animal candidate they voted for and why! We believe this hands-on experience will help our students become informed, responsible citizens in the future.
